Wedding Knives

The first knife is etched with Artist Point mountain art (where friends were married). The handle is Tig welded (fully encapsulating the tang) and deep engraved with the surrounding topographic map of the same area, and the couple’s initials on each side of the pommel.

The second knife I utilized a green laser to color mark the blade with patterns of black and gold.

Giant Retirement Flip-Flop

When your manager retires after 25 years at the company, you have to create something unique to remember the team. Known for always wearing flip-flops (even in the winter), a giant sandal seemed like a fitting gift. Constructed of foam and webbing, this project was completed in 3 hours.

Commemorative Axe

I crafted this axe as a gift for friends who were preparing to marry and explore homesteading. I deep-sliced and rewelded the axe head using stainless steel filler. After sanding and polishing, I acid-etched the head to reveal a faux Damascus pattern. The handle was meticulously shaped, and I created a copper plaque to commemorate their wedding day, which I chemically etched.

Cheese Plate + Knife

The foundation of the platter is CNC machined from a solid aluminum billet. The wood was glued, planed to the required thickness, and then bonded to the base. The knife set was cut using a waterjet, blasted and laser marked.

Time Capsule

The foundation of the capsule originated from an oxygen cylinder. The upper portion was machined off, and the edges were carefully drilled and tapped to accommodate a rubber gasket and vacuum-sealed lid. The exterior was vinyl masked and acid-etched with the pattern and text. The lid is adorned with a laser-cut and turned wooden cover. Within the capsule, there's a bottle of champagne and numerous mementos from their wedding day, all intended to be opened a decade later.
